They were together in high school until he literally ran away.I did like that Annie had a bit of backbone and some gumption, but she still falls right back in and never asks why he left her, ran away from her like a coward. The characters are interesting and well-developed. The story is interesting, well-written, with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.A Very Nice Read On really enjoyed this second chance romance. Rick and Annie had a rough beginning. High school love is hard. Trying to fix what broke is even harder. Watching these two battle to the end was very enjoyable. Well done.
